What DTU Skylab?
DTU Skylab is primarily a house where there is room to get and test new ideas. DTU Skylab includes everything from auditorium, meeting rooms for a variety of workshops, where students at DTU can book space and facilities when you need to start to develop some kind of prototype in relation to one of your study projects.
Skylab has 3200 square meters that you as a student at DTU can use for free. It is possible to work with metal, wood, welding, rapid prototyping (3D printing, laser cutting and 3D scanner), electronic design, and the wet lab. If you need a place to meet with your project, you can also book meeting rooms.The main focus is on innovation and all the different aspects of innovation. This means that it is also possible to get the best possible guidance and support when you begin to take your project from concept to prototype.
How can I use Skylab?
DTU Skylab gives you the tools to go one step further, allowing you to build a business model to your prototype that can end up in a start-up business. It is entrepreneurship in practice that you here have the opportunity to get tested.
DTU Skylab have assigned different resource persons who can help you by guiding you in terms of how you can bring your DTU project to become a start-up company.
